In college, I gravitated to the Arts program and loved Photography for its ability to immediately capture a fleeting moment and present it as an artistic expression. My post-college work was focused on still photography for film sets, music videos, art installations and live performances. I enjoyed a great rapport with my clients whether they were actors, musicians or artists. This allowed me to capture candid moments and develop a style that became my signature. Living in Southern California and having access to both gorgeous natural settings, as well as urban landscapes, I naturally gravitated to the aesthetic of photography with available light. I married in 2011 and when I saw the process of our wedding being photographed, I realized how wedding photojournalism and event photography fit perfectly with my documentary style of shooting. When we received our wedding album I felt a connection between my work and personal life that made the decision to become a lifestyle/wedding photographer crystal clear.
My style works best with people that are open, love nature, and don’t mind trekking a bit for the perfect spot to help create beautiful, golden sun-filled photos.
When I’m not behind the camera, you can find me enjoying Korean BBQ with friends, rummaging through thrift stores and flea markets, or perusing Lonely Planet scouting my next adventure.
